SpringStone Studio Gear
|
Projects may be recorded in our studio or at a specified venue or other location. We use some of the best vintage and modern recording equipment available, including 2496 AD and DA converters from Mytek Digital, API and Great River pres, and top studio microphones from AKG, Beyer, Bruel & Kjaer (DPA), BLUE, Neumann, Schoeps, and others. We also have outboard gear from Summit, Valley People, Amek (Neve), dbx, and others and plugin bundles from top developers such as Waves (Ren, SSL, and C6), Sonnox (Elite), and PSP (Total Pack).

BLUE B6 and B7 lollipop LD capsules (same as used on Blue Bottle mic). Fit our AKG 451 & 480 bodies to make wonderful LD mics!

- Neumann KM140 (3 SD cardioids, including a stereo set)
Neumann TLM103 (LD vocal/instrument mic)
Shure 315 vintage ribbon mic (fig8, updated by S. Sank). A bit noisy, but worth it for certain applications. Dick Gardiner of the Harmonicats told me it is the ONLY mic that he'd use to record harmonica. And he knows harmonicas!
